Richard G. Rumrell, shareholder, received his undergraduate education at University of South Florida (B.A. 1967); his law school education at Florida State University (J.D. with honors 1970) and earned an LLM in Advanced Litigation from Nottingham Law School Ltd., Nottingham University (LL.M., Advanced Litigation, July 1996).

Rick Rumrell been named a Florida Super Lawyer for the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He is currently Board Certified by the Florida Bar as both a certified Civil Trial Attorney and Business Litigation Attorney. He was recently recognized as a 25 year Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer.

He was a Florida Board Certified Admiralty and Maritime Attorney (1997-2007).

He has also had significant experience working in Florida state and local government, including serving as the first legislative aide to the late Lawton Chiles (former Democratic state representative and senator and former U.S. Senator and Governor. He was selected as one of Florida’s first Florida Legislative Interns and awarded a Ford Foundation Fellowship. He was also staff director of the Florida House of Representatives Elections Committee. After law school Rick was appointed Assistant State Attorney for the 4th Judicial Circuit.

He has also served on the Judicial Nominating Commission of the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida from 1995 to 1999 and as Chairman (1997-1998).

He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits. the District of Columbia, all state and U.S. District Courts throughout Florida.

Rumrell has used his extensive trial and legislative backgrounds to assist clients develop effective strategies to resolve disputes, overcome challenges, and effectively meet their needs.
